The DeBuyer Mineral B 24cm frying pan is a durable, high‑performance tool crafted from natural carbon steel. Part of the Mineral B series, it is free from chemical non‑stick coatings and finished with a beeswax layer to protect against oxidation and aid seasoning. - Rinse the pan with warm water and dry thoroughly.
- Add about 1mm of vegetable oil to the bottom of the pan.
- Heat the pan until the oil starts to smoke.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool.
- Drain the oil and wipe the pan clean with a paper towel.
- Heat the pan empty for another 2 minutes over medium heat.
- Clean the pan after each use with warm water and a soft sponge.
- Do not use dish soap.
- Allow any burnt‑on residue to soften or deglaze the pan after use.
- Dry the pan thoroughly to prevent rust formation.
- After cleaning, apply a thin layer of oil to protect the steel.
- Not suitable for the dishwasher.
- Be careful with acidic ingredients like tomatoes and lemon, as they can damage the patina; season again with some oil afterward.
