Black Jack Roofing Felt Adhesive from Everbuild comes in a 25-litre can and is a cold-applied black oxidised bitumen-based adhesive for felt roofing. It adheres to surfaces like concrete, asphalt, metal, and wood, and follows BS 8217-1994 guidelines. Apply by brush or mop, allowing the adhesive to stay open for 15-30 minutes before placing the roofing felt. Rub or roll the felt to maximize contact and avoid air inclusion, and apply weight until fully adhered. The adhesive has excellent high bond strength and is ideal for bonding all roofing felts to various materials. It is suitable for gritting and sealing roofing felt laps and bonds chippings to the final felt layer. It has a storage life of 24 months in sealed containers. For timber roofs, nail the first felt layer and use the adhesive for subsequent layers. Prime porous concrete surfaces before applying the first felt layer.
