Black Jack Roofing Felt Adhesive from Everbuild is a black oxidised bitumen-based adhesive, cold applied, ideal for bonding roofing felt to surfaces like concrete, asphalt, metal, and wood. It can also be used as a cold gritting solution. This adhesive offers high bond strength, perfect for roofing felts, sealing laps, and bonding chippings to the final felt layer. It must be applied using brush or mop, leave "open" for 15-30 minutes before applying felt. Works on slopes up to 10, ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Avoid use in solvent-contact areas and do not inhale vapours in confined spaces. For timber roofs, the first felt layer must be nailed as per BS 8217-1994; subsequent layers can be bonded. Use a primer for porous surfaces. Chippings should immediately go into the wet film. Store in a cool, dry place away from ignition sources. Has a shelf life of 24 months if sealed tightly..
