Black Jack Aluminium Solar Reflective Paint is a fast-drying, bituminous-based aluminium paint available in a 5-litre tin. It offers a brushable consistency and a silvery finish when dry, typically drying in an hour. Ideal for primed metal walls and roofs, it reflects light and heat, reducing heat absorption and extending the life of roof repairs and coatings degraded by UV light. Coverage is 4-6m2 for porous surfaces and 11m2 for non-porous surfaces. Stir the paint, clear your surface, and apply two coats with a brush or mohair roller. Apply the second coat after the first dries, usually in one to two hours. Allow six hours for hot applied, three days for solvent-based, and two weeks for water-based coatings before application. Apply thin coats over bituminous surfaces. Store in the original container in cool, dry conditions, away from ignition sources.
