Everbuild Black Jack 901 Bitumen Paint - Solvent Based - 5 Litre - 90105

This solvent-based, full-bodied bitumen paint forms an odourless, taint-free black film once dry. It provides a durable coating for a wide range of building substrates, offering protection against water ingress, weather, and corrosion. The formulation dries quickly, enabling faster progress on-site, and is suitable for metal, masonry, wood and many common building materials. When applying, two coats are recommended to ensure a robust, even finish. It is important to prepare the surface properly and follow the guidance for storage and handling to maintain performance over time.

The paint is compatible with iron, steel, lead, zinc, aluminium, asbestos-cement, concrete, stone, wood, felt and brick. It forms a waterproof and weatherproof layer that resists corrosion, salt solutions, diluted acids and alkalis, water and alcohol. On porous surfaces it typically covers 4–6 m2 per litre; on non-porous surfaces up to 11 m2 per litre.

Usage

1. Prepare the surface: ensure all surfaces are dry, clean and stable; metal surfaces should be wire brushed and treated for long-term protection.
2. Apply by spray or brush without thinning, using at least two layers.
3. Drying: fast-drying, typically 2–4 hours depending on weather conditions.
4. Storage: store in a cool, dry place away from ignition; keep warm before cold weather applications.
5. Do not use in areas where subsequent solvent contact is likely; do not use for potable applications.
