Bedec BEDE2AK0002/40 Barn Paint Semi-Gloss White 2.5L

Bedec Barn Paint is a tough, water-based acrylic paint designed for exterior use on a range of surfaces, including wood, plastic, galvanised steel, brick and cladding. Supplied in a semi-gloss finish, it provides good colour retention and flexibility to help reduce flaking or cracking. It is suitable for protecting external buildings such as barns, stables, sheds and other outbuildings, and can be applied to tar, bitumen and creosote as well as porous substrates when primed. The product is low odour, quick-drying and can be used across multiple surfaces.

It can be applied by brush, roller or spray and offers a touch dry time of around 2 hours with re-coating possible after 4 hours. The surface should be clean, dry and free from contaminants before painting. For untreated weathered wood or porous substrates, the first coat can be diluted with up to 30% clean water as a primer sealer. An exterior knot block primer should be applied to knots to minimise bleed-through. Light sanding is recommended prior to coating.

Usage

1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants before application.
2. For untreated weathered wood or porous substrates, dilute the first coat with up to 30% clean water as a primer sealer.
3. Apply an exterior knot block primer to knots before painting to minimise bleed-through.
4. Light sanding is recommended.
5. Application methods: Brush, roller, or spray.
6. Touch dry time: 2 hours.
7. Re-coat time: After 4 hours.
8. Recommended application temperature: Above 10°C.
