Bedec Barn Paint is a water-based acrylic finish designed for a variety of exterior surfaces, offering a semi-gloss appearance with strong colour retention. It is suitable for protecting outbuildings such as barns, stables, sheds, and other exterior structures. The product can be applied over previously painted surfaces, including those with weathered bitumen, tar, or varnish. It is versatile across materials including wood, plastic, galvanised steel, brick, and cladding, and can be used on tar, bitumen and creosote. It combines multi-surface performance with quick drying and relatively low odour, making it convenient for exterior projects.

Usage instructions

1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from contaminants before painting.
2. For untreated weathered wood or porous substrates, dilute the first coat with up to 30% clean water as a primer sealer.
3. Apply an exterior knot block primer to knots before painting to minimize issues.
4. Apply coats as needed, allowing the recommended re-coat time between applications.
