STEEL PANELS ONLY – CHECK YOUR CAR FIRST: This UK car magnet only holds to steel body panels. It will not stick to aluminium, plastic or fibreglass panels, glass or bumpers. Many tailgates and boot lids are aluminium or plastic, so test yours with a fridge magnet before ordering. NEEDS A FLAT STEEL AREA OF 18 x 13.3 CM: Fit the oval UK sign to the rear of your vehicle on a clean, dry, flat steel area at least as large as the magnet, so every edge touches the panel. Avoid panel gaps, badges, creases and edges over glass or trim, as a lifted edge can catch the wind. Do not fit it on the number plate. Gov.uk guidance says you need one unless your number plate shows the UK identifier with the Union flag, and in Spain, Cyprus and Malta you need one whatever your plate shows. Not needed in Ireland.
