This Marshalltown PermaShape smoothing trowel is made from ground and hardened gold steel of the highest quality. Many craftsmen also love the flat shape. The aluminium alloy bracket is heat treated, tested for strength and machined to ensure an ideal balance between bracket and handle. This straightening trowel is lightweight but extremely strong. The hardened steel rivets that hold the holder on the blade are properly sized and always larger at the first rivet for extra strength, as there is the greatest load on the trowel. Since Marshalltown trowels are not welded, there is no embrittlement problem that causes premature breakage. This trowel is equipped with a wooden handle that sits comfortably in the hand and is easy to clean. The handle can be easily replaced with a new wooden handle or a Durasoft handle.
