ACTION AND DESCRIPTION Local treatment of skin conditions caused by Molluscum contagiosum. COMPOSITION 1 ml of solution contains 50 mg of potassium hydroxide and purified water. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 1/ What to do before first use: Replace the bottle cap with the child-resistant cap with a brush. This kit also contains a fine applicator, recommended for more precise application on very small molluscum contagiosum lesions. 2/ Application: Open the bottle and place it on a flat surface to prevent spillage. Dip the brush or fine applicator into the solution, then wipe the edge of the bottle well to prevent spillage. Using the brush or fine applicator, apply the solution sparingly to the molluscum contagiosum, taking care not to spread it onto healthy skin. Re-dip the brush or fine applicator into the solution every 2 or 3 applications. Be sure to close the child-resistant cap tightly after each use. 3/ Drying: Allow the product to dry. If it has been applied to a child, try to prevent them from touching the treated areas while it is drying. 4/ Repeat the application 1 to 2 times a day: Renew the applications on the same Molluscum contagiosum for several days, until inflammation (redness) appears, which usually occurs within 2 to 10 days. 5/ Discontinuation of use: When inflammation occurs in a molluscum contagiosum, stop applying Molutrex to it. Inflammation is a sign that the molluscum contagiosum will soon disappear, which will occur within 2 to 6 weeks. Do not apply the solution to the same molluscum contagiosum for more than 14 days. If you do not see any results, inform your doctor. Apply once or twice a day, morning and evening. Discontinue application of Molutrex when inflammation (redness) occurs. Apply the solution only to the treated molluscum contagiosum, avoiding contact with healthy skin. PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS This product should not be used: - On mucous membranes and around the eyes. - In children under 2 years of age. - In case of allergy to any of its components. - In cases of infected or already inflamed Molluscum contagiosum. - In classic warts and all other skin keratinizations. This product can be corrosive if used improperly. Do not allow the liquid to come into contact with healthy skin. Wash your hands after each use. - Do not use on the eye contour, mucous membranes, open wounds or skin affected by scratches. - To avoid possible infection, do not scratch or pick at Molluscum contagiosum. While breastfeeding, do not use this solution on parts of your body that may come into contact with the infant. Do not use this product in patients with acute atopic eczema. - Do not use this product in people with a weakened immune system. - If the product comes into contact with the skin around molluscum contagiosum, rinse with water. - If the product comes into contact with the eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water for 15 minutes and consult a doctor. - Do not rub your eyes or mucous membranes if the product accidentally comes into contact with your fingers. Wash your hands immediately. For external use only. When using this solution, hold the bottle on a flat surface to prevent spillage. This product should only be applied by an adult. Like other active products, it may cause some discomfort, in particular a temporary burning sensation or irritation. The intensity of the irritation depends on the sensitivity of the skin and the amount of solution applied. Please follow the instructions for use. Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation may occur after some treated molluscum contagiosum lesions have disappeared. These will disappear spontaneously.
