Aftco Goldfinger Trolling Clip. The AFTCO Goldfinger Downrigger Release Clip ensures reliable line release with its roller-guide action. Similar to Outrigger Clips, it attaches directly to downrigger cable, with the adjustment slider facing down. Simply thread cable through the clip, add a crimp, and position about a foot above the cannonball. Twist fishing line 5-10 times before placing on the bail for secure, smooth release. Features a stainless steel roller with AFLON Teflon bearing for friction-free performance, maintaining line strength. Goldfinger Downrigger release clips have the same features as the Outrigger Clips (except the stainless bail is not gold titanium-nitride coated), and should be attached directly to the cable above the downrigger ball. This is best accomplished by threading one side of the clip onto the cable, then placing a crimp on the cable before passing it through the remaining half of the clip. Once the cable has been terminated with the cannonballs snap, the clip can be positioned approximately one foot above the ball. The crimp should then be ´swaged´ into place. Note that the clip must be positioned with the adjustment-slider ´down´ or towards the bail.
