Oak chips are beneficial for introducing premium oak characters to wines at a low cost while offering positive effects on wine color, aromas, flavor, mouth feel as well as creating depth and body Granulated chips are made from freshly emptied Sherry barrels (Oloroso) which are produced from Spanish or American Oak. They are excellent for intensifying the flavor of beer (old Ales, Stouts, Porters, Brown) Bierbrand, whisky, brandy, fruit spirits etc. Prepare Oak Chips before using by boiling in water for 15 minutes. Strain the chips off the water and then add the them directly to the wine. Add to the must or the finished wine. Dose: 5-30g /10 liters wine.
