It's more than just a shoe, it's an extension of your foot, designed to enhance your natural ability and make every run an adventure.Experience the trail like never before. The Superior 7 encourages a more natural and low-impact stride through its signature Balanced Cushioning™ platform, which places your heel and forefoot at an equal distance from the ground. This zero-drop foundation promotes better alignment and running form, allowing for a more efficient and comfortable run, mile after mile. Feel connected to the earth beneath you while still enjoying a responsive and energetic ride from the refined midsole, which offers just enough cushion to soften the impact without muting essential feedback from the trail.Traction is non-negotiable, and the Superior 7 delivers with a tenacious MaxTrac™ outsole. This advanced outsole features a tacky, durable lug pattern designed to claw into a wide variety of surfaces, from loose dirt and dusty paths to slick rocks and wet roots. You can attack uphills and charge downhills with the unwavering confidence that your footing is secure.Comfort is redefined with our legendary FootShape™ fit. Unlike traditional, narrow shoe designs, the spacious toe box allows your toes to relax and spread out naturally. This freedom of movement enhances stability, increases power during toe-off, and provides unparalleled comfort, significantly reducing the risk of blisters and foot discomfort on long-distance excursions. The updated upper wraps your midfoot for a secure, locked-in feel, ensuring the shoe moves with you without restricting your foot´s natural mechanics.Versatility is at the core of the Superior 7's design. It comes equipped with a removable StoneGuard™, a unique feature that lets you customize your level of underfoot protection. Keep it in for sharp, rocky terrain, or take it out for a plusher, more flexible feel on smoother trails. This adaptability makes the Superior 7 the perfect choice for a wide range of conditions and preferences. A convenient GaiterTrap™ tab also allows for the seamless, strapless attachment of a gaiter to keep debris out.The ALTRA Superior 7 is the ideal choice for the neutral runner seeking a standard fit that combines minimal, responsive cushioning with maximum trail feel and agility.
