Flexibly adjustable Anglepoise® Original 1227 LED table lamp The Anglepoise® Original 1227 Mini LED table lamp is approximately two thirds the size of the well-known original from the 1930s and also features the unique constant tension spring mechanism, traditional stepped base, chrome fittings and the imprint of the label. This table lamp, which can be flexibly adjusted using three joints, can be used in a variety of ways throughout the home. For example, it provides excellent service as an adequate light source on the desk. The Original 1227 Mini table lamp is fitted with a textile cable. The idea for the Gross Original from 1933/34 came from the English industrial designer George Carwardine (1887-1948), a specialist in shock absorber systems, who wanted to design a work light that could be used flexibly. The light, equipped with three springs, mimicked the movements of the human arm and became the forerunner of all spring tension lights thanks to its perfectly balanced design. In 1934, Carwardine sold the licence for the Original 1227 Mini table lamp to Terry & Sons, who had already supplied the springs for his designs. The Anglepoise® Original 1227 table lamp is fitted with an E14 socket into which an LED bulb of max. 6 W can be inserted and is supplied with an energy-efficient LED retrofit bulb. Note: For optimum balance of the table lamp, the weight of the inserted bulb should be between 25 g and 45 g.

Lamp MastersOriginal 1227 Mini table lamp Linen White was designed back in 1935, but its timeless design is still relevant in interiors today. The unique spring technology gives the lamp ultimate flexibility and perfect balance, while the adjustable lampshade can be turned in any direction. The glossy black finish gives the light an exclusive look, complemented by a black fabric cable. Both the lampshade and the rods are made of lightweight aluminium and feature durable chrome details. The heavy cast iron base with steel laminate ensures good stability. The original 1227 series began with the desk lamp, which is considered the archetype for Anglepoise lights and continues to set the standard for many other lights. Today, the lamp is available for floor, wall, table, and ceiling use. The entire series has a classic look that enhances any living or working environment.
