These strings feature a novel design that uses a special aerospace grade multifilament instead of the usual nylon. The coating is made of lacquered copper, a hypoallergenic material that also reduces the annoying noise under the fingers. Pure copper replaces steel, nickel and phosphor bronze, which are usually stiffer. These materials have a lower specific gravity than natural copper.
