25-year-old single malt Scotch from Ardmore, released as a limited independent bottling by Thompson Bros. Rich, mature palate at 48.9% ABV with a long, refined finish in a scarce batch of 463 bottles. Ardmore Thompson Bros Single Malt Scotch 25 year old 48.9% ABV Nose: Sindhri mango, kumquat, farmyardy, scented petrol, pinot gris, fennel leaves, a gorse bush that is on fire. Palate: BBQ’d yellow fruits, creamy texture, lemongrass, akin to an early 90s frog, eucalyptus, a lovely balance of phenols and sweetness. Finish: Dark chocolate with some biscoff, ashy and round at the very end.
