Rich, mature palate at 48.9% ABV with a long, refined finish in a scarce batch of 463 bottles. Ardmore Thompson Bros Single Malt Scotch 25 year old 48.9% ABV Nose: Sindhri mango and kumquat fuse with farmyardy earthiness and scented petrol, brightened by mineral pinot gris and fennel leaves; a gorse bush aflame adds smoky, resinous warmth. Palate: BBQ’d yellow fruits fuse with a creamy, velvety texture, carried by lemongrass and a whisper of eucalyptus. A refined balance of phenols and sweetness lingers on the palate, finishing with a gentle warmth and quiet complexity. Finish: Dark chocolate with some biscoff, ashy and round at the very end.
