Growing up on a farm inspired her to portray the animals and nature that surrounded her.Her early artistic influences were Disney films, which she continued to enjoy as she grew older. However, the turning point that made her want to pursue drawing professionally was the animated series Gargoyles, which aired in Iceland for the first time in 1997.This sparked a desire in her to create something similar and evoke emotions in others, just as she had been moved.Since there were no animation schools in Iceland, Evana taught herself everything about illustration and animation, primarily through books. She began working freelance online at the age of 16 and at 18 landed a job as a lead artist at a small studio called Iceland Animation.Later, she obtained a significant position at another Icelandic studio called Lazy Town. This rich background, from the natural beauty of Iceland to the dynamic action of Gargoyles, is the foundation upon which her celebrated artistic style is built.
