The region is characterized by low-lying plains and the fertile Brahmaputra River valley, which provides the ideal climate and soil for tea cultivation. ABOUT: Made from the Camellia sinensis var. assamica tea plant - this varietal is known for its large, bold leaves, which produce a robust and full-bodied tea. Assam tea has strong, malty flavour with a rich and brisk taste. It has a dark amber colour. BENEFITS: Assam tea, like other black teas, contains antioxidants. Its moderate-to-high caffeine levels may provide an energy boost. USES: Consume either plain or with milk and sugar. Assam tea's strong flavour makes it an excellent choice for breakfast.
