AVID CARP Ex-Cast Reel: Master the HorizonUnleash your full casting potential and redefine your reach with the AVID CARP Ex-Cast, a purpose-built carpfishing reel engineered for supreme distance and precision. Designed from the ground up for the discerning angler who demands uncompromising performance, the Ex-Cast is your definitive tool for commanding the water, whether you´re targeting distant islands, far-bank margins, or uncharted territory in vast venues. At the very core of the Ex-Cast´s incredible casting capability is its Super Slow Oscillation system. This advanced technology meticulously governs the speed at which the line is wound onto the spool, resulting in absolutely impeccable line lay. Each wrap sits perfectly next to the last, creating a uniform, level bed of line that dramatically reduces friction upon release. The direct benefit is a tangible increase in casting distance and unparalleled accuracy, allowing your line to peel off the spool seamlessly and fly through the guides with minimal resistance. This flawless line management also significantly reduces the risk of wind knots and tangles, giving you the confidence to apply maximum power to every cast.Complementing this is the reel´s long, tapered spool profile, specifically shaped to facilitate the smoothest possible line flow. When you commit to a cast, you´ll feel the effortless release as your rig soars towards its target. This combination of advanced oscillation and spool design makes the Ex-Cast a true casting machine, consistently adding valuable yards to your range.Once your rig is in position, the Ex-Cast continues to excel. The high-performance Quick Drag system offers incredible control when it matters most. Transition from a free-spool setting to a full fighting drag in less than one turn of the cap, allowing for an instant and decisive reaction to a powerful take. This rapid engagement ensures you can set the hook effectively and immediately gain control over a running carp, providing the responsive performance needed to tame the largest of fish under pressure.Efficiency is further enhanced by a high-speed retrieve rate, enabling you to bring your rigs back quickly from long range, saving valuable time and energy during busy sessions or when spodding. The reel operates with a fluid, refined feel, a testament to its internal gearing and extensive ball bearing system that ensures silky-smooth performance under load. A one-way clutch with an instant anti-reverse bearing provides solid, immediate hooksets with zero rearward backplay in the handle.Built for durability and finished with understated, stylish graphics, the AVID CARP Ex-Cast possesses a robust feel and a professional look. The spring-loaded, line-friendly line clip allows for repeated, pinpoint accuracy when casting to a productive spot, without causing any damage to your mainline.
