B+w 1.8 Mrc Nano Master 62 Mm Grey Filter. B+W 1.8 MRC Nano Master 62mm Grey Filter (6-Stop ND)Unleash your creative potential and master challenging lighting conditions with the B+W 1.8 MRC Nano Master 62mm Grey Filter. Expertly engineered in Germany by Schneider Kreuznach, this premium Neutral Density (ND) filter is an essential tool for discerning photographers and videographers who demand ultimate control over their exposures. It is designed to reduce the amount of light reaching the camer´s sensor without affecting color balance, allowing you to manipulate time and depth in ways that are impossible with shutter speed and aperture alone. The primary function of this 6-stop ND filter is to enable the use of long shutter speeds, even in bright daylight. Imagine transforming a bustling waterfall or crashing ocean waves into a silky, ethereal mist. With this filter, you can blur the movement of clouds across the sky for dramatic effect or make moving people and cars vanish from an urban architectural shot, leaving you with a clean, serene image. It opens up a new realm of landscape and fine art photography, turning ordinary scenes into captivating works of art. This B+W ND filter, which reduces light entering the camera by six f-stops, already qualifies as an extreme filter. With this filter, and without changing the aperture (and DOF), an exposure time of 1/60 s becomes a full second. Running water is rendered hazy and soft. A tripod is necessary in any case. For videographers, the B+W 1.8 ND Master filter is indispensable for achieving a professional, cinematic look. It allows you to maintain the ideal shutter speed (typically double your frame rate) while shooting with a wide-open aperture for a beautiful, shallow depth of field. This means you can isolate your subject with creamy bokeh, even under harsh, direct sunlight, without overexposing your footage.Built upon B+W's legendary reputation, the Master line features a precision-engineered brass mount that is both durable and resistant to binding, ensuring smooth attachment and removal. Its slim profile is optimized to prevent vignetting, even on wide-angle lenses. The filter is fortified with B+W´s exclusive MRC (Multi-Resistant Coating) Nano technology. This advanced 8-layer coating on each side minimizes reflections, reduces ghosting and flare for maximum image contrast, and provides a hardened protective surface. The outer nano layer is hydrophobic, oleophobic, and anti-static, repelling water, oil, and dust, making the filter incredibly easy to clean and maintain in the field.
