PROTECTS AND RESTORES: Bacher chopping board oil, 200 ml, soaks deep into the grain of wooden boards and feeds the timber from the inside, without staining the surface or altering its natural colour. It puts back the moisture that washing takes out, so boards, blocks and worktops stay supple instead of drying out, splitting, cracking or warping. Because this is a pharmaceutical purity mineral oil and not a vegetable oil, it is chemically stable: it does not oxidise, it does not turn rancid, and it will never leave a stale smell or an off taste on your food. A monthly top-up keeps the wood looking like new. MULTIPURPOSE WOOD CARE: One bottle covers the whole kitchen - chopping and serving boards in wood or bamboo, butcher blocks, wooden kitchen worktops and counters, salad bowls, spoons, spatulas and other utensils, and wooden tables. It also revives soapstone and slate boards, marble and granite countertops, refreshes the look of a tired granite sink, and a thin wiped film helps protect stainless steel knife blades. PHARMACEUTICAL GRADE PURITY: Made with UltraPure Mineral Oil - a colourless, odourless and tasteless liquid paraffin that meets the requirements of the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP), the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) and the British Pharmacopoeia (BP). It is a food safe finish intended for the maintenance of wooden articles that come into contact with food and complies with the general safety requirements of Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004. EASY TO APPLY: Pour a generous amount onto a clean, dry surface and spread it evenly with the chamois leather cloth supplied. Leave it to soak in for a few hours, or overnight if the wood is very dry, then wipe away any excess. Give a new or neglected board three to four coats the first time - those extra layers are what extend the life of the wood. One litre covers roughly 10 m2 of seasoned wood, or nearer 3 m2 if the timber is very dry and drinks in the first coats. After that, top up about once a month, or as soon as water stops beading and starts soaking in. The pointed nozzle applicator doses the oil exactly where you want it, with no drips. IN THE BOX: A 200 ml squeeze bottle with a pointed nozzle applicator, plus a genuine chamois leather cloth measuring 180 x 130 mm (7 x 5 in) - it spreads the product evenly, lifts dirt and polishes the surface without leaving marks or scratches.
