SEALS AND PROTECTS: Bacher chopping board wax, 200 ml, blends food grade mineral oil with natural beeswax and carnauba wax. The oil carries the waxes down into the grain, and the waxes then set on the surface as a water-repellent film that shrugs off spills and stops the wood drinking in moisture. Boards, blocks and worktops keep a soft satin sheen and are protected against drying and cracking. It is a rich honey colour in the bottle and you will notice a gentle honey scent as you work it in - both come from the beeswax itself, not from added fragrance, and neither dyes or darkens the timber. Chemically stable, so it will not oxidise, turn rancid or taint food. MULTIPURPOSE WOOD CARE: One bottle covers the whole kitchen - chopping and serving boards in wood or bamboo, butcher blocks, wooden kitchen worktops and counters, salad bowls, spoons, spatulas and other utensils, and wooden tables. It also revives soapstone and slate boards, marble and granite countertops, refreshes the look of a tired granite sink, and a thin wiped film helps protect stainless steel knife blades. The same bottle works on a brand new board and on one that has gone grey and thirsty after years of use. PHARMACOPOEIA GRADE MINERAL OIL: Made with UltraPure Mineral Oil - a liquid paraffin that meets the requirements of the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP), the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) and the British Pharmacopoeia (BP) - blended with natural beeswax and carnauba wax. Tasteless, solvent-free and with no added fragrance. A food safe finish intended for the maintenance of wooden articles that come into contact with food, and compliant with the general safety requirements of Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004. No driers and no colourants. Made in EU. EASY TO APPLY: This is a pourable liquid, not a hard paste, so there is no digging into a tin and no heavy buffing. Pour a little onto the cleaned, dry surface, rub it in with the chamois leather cloth supplied and leave it to dry. Use it after every wash to keep butcher blocks and boards working well and looking good. On a board that has never been treated, work in three to four coats the first time, then one coat after each wash. One litre covers roughly 10 m2, or nearer 3 m2 on very dry wood. The pointed nozzle applicator doses it exactly where you want it. IN THE BOX: A 200 ml squeeze bottle with a pointed nozzle applicator, plus a genuine chamois leather cloth measuring 180 x 130 mm (7 x 5 in) - it spreads the product evenly, lifts dirt and polishes the surface without leaving marks or scratches.
