This multi-layer coating uses a distinct colour-coding system that acts as a built-in visual warning. If the robust outer orange layer sustains damage from nicks or cuts, the contrasting white layer underneath becomes immediately visible. This serves as an unmistakable alert to the user that the tool´s primary insulation has been compromised and it should be removed from service, preventing accidental use of a non-compliant tool and mitigating the risk of electrical shock.Built for Professional Durability and PerformanceCrafted from high-performance alloy steel, the core of this hexagon key is built to withstand high torque and frequent use without deforming. The tool undergoes a meticulous chrome-plating process and is finished with an anti-corrosion treatment, ensuring it resists rust and degradation even in demanding work environments. This robust construction guarantees a long service life, providing an excellent return on investment and reliable performance day after day. A fourth black layer is added to the insulation to further protect the handle edges, enhancing durability where the tool is handled most. Every single tool is individually tested at 10.000V, ten times its rated voltage, to guarantee it meets and exceeds the stringent requirements of the IEC 60900 standard.Technical SpecificationsInsulated Hexagon L-Key 12 mm.Dip-coated insulation.- 3-layer safety colour code insulation.- For working on live equipment up to 1000 V according to IEC 60900.- Chrome plated and anti-corrosion treated finish.- Made from high-performance alloy steel.- 3 Multi-layer coating with different colours indicating safety, danger or high danger.Plus a 4th one in black to further protect handle edges.- This provides protection as well as creating a visual warning system.- If the outer insulation layer gets damaged, the lighter colour underneath will become visible and warn the user.- Each and every tool is tested to 10.000V for 10 seconds at the end of the manufacturing cycle. tradeinn Bricoinn
