A new addition to the Balvenie range and a younger sibling to the 15 year old single cask. Exclusively matured in first fill bourbon casks and each bottle is part of a batch that is no more than 300 bottles from the same cask. Sweet with good body, the bourbon characters develop with a gentle spice and a hint of vanilla. 2015 Silver Outstanding Medal Winner - International Wine & Spirits Competition IWSC Awards Tasting Note: Gorgeous nose filled with ripe fruit and rich oak. Light smoke in the background. Rich malt, honey and a rich floral backing. Good entry with full flavours rolling slowly across the palate. Hints of honey, sherry and aniseed. Some light spice. Silky smooth texture. Some nutty notes in fairly full finish.
