The Baxi manifold heat exchanger has two different types that can be installed. They are the primary heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger. Almost all boilers have a primary, which raises the temperature of the water in the system using heat from the burner. Only combination boilers have a secondary heat exchanger, which enables the transfer of heat from one closed system to another.
