BEDEC MSP Multi-Surface Paint is a versatile, water-based coating designed to resist flaking and peeling through its outstanding flexibility. It can be applied over most existing paints and varnishes, including weathered Tar Varnish, Bitumen and Creosote, making it suitable for a wide range of surfaces such as wood, MDF, metals, plastics, tiles, radiators and more. The paint is non-yellowing, easy to clean with water and offers good durability for interior and exterior projects, including doors, window frames, guttering, cladding and render. It provides a microporous, breathable finish that remains flexible, helping to minimise cracking and chalking while retaining gloss longer. It is alkali and heat resistant, with a heat tolerance up to 80ºC, and recoatable after 4 hours. A low-VOC formulation supports more comfortable and safer use, and the product can be used directly onto many substrates without a primer, unless you’re treating mild steel, which requires a primer.

The coating is designed for broad compatibility and practical performance. It can be used on most old paints without priming (except on mild steel), and it remains easy to clean up with water. It resists cracking and flaking and is suitable for a wide range of surfaces, including plastics, decking, brick, terracotta, stone and plaster, as well as traditional timber-based substrates. The paint is available in multiple sheen levels to suit different preferences.

Usage

1. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
2. Recoatable after 4 hours.
3. No special thinners required—use only water.
4. For mild steel: use BEDEC Metal Primer.
5. For staining issues: use BEDEC Stain Block.
