The Black Diamond ATC-Alpine Guide is a lighter and more compact version of the standard ATC-guide. Built for fast and light adventures in the mountains. Only 73 grams and optimized for ropes between 8.1mm and 8.5mmm ropes yet it also works from 6.9mm to 9mm ropes. The oval-ized anchor-hole allows for easy feeding and pulling of rope, and the device's guide mode lets you belay one or two seconding climbers off an anchor. Multiple friction modes provide the optimal amount of stopping power when lowering or rappelling.
