Blackfriar Traditional Exterior Woodstain in Chestnut is a solvent-based exterior stain designed to protect and finish timber surfaces. Suitable for both hard and softwoods, it provides a weather-resistant, water-repellent satin finish that resists flaking, peeling, and cracking. The product is microporous, allowing the timber to breathe and maintain integrity over time. It covers approximately 14 m² per liter per coat, with a touch dry time of 2–4 hours and a hard dry time of 7 days. Recoat time is 16 hours. The stain is applied by brush or roller and should be used in well-ventilated conditions with a clean, dry surface.
