Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease, oil or any other contaminants that may hinder adhesion. Prime porous surfaces and metals other than stainless steel or anodised aluminium for optimum adhesion. Use the appropriate backing material to set the depth of the seal. Gun in the sealant, taking care to avoid entraining air or leaving gaps and ensure that there is complete contact between sealant and substrate, particularly in any crevices.
