Description

Amazon [DESIGN] Fashioned from herringbone-patterned tweed fabric, these straps have a beautiful feel and a rich texture that really adds a unique flair to your watch. Pair this band with a dress watch and a woolen jacket for a touch of understated luxury, or layer on other quintessential British fabrics, such as wool, corduroy, or waxed canvas, for a cosy look that will perfectly complement a wabi sabi vintage watch. Either way, this strap exudes a timeless style and, like your favourite woolly jumper, the cloth will develop even more character with time. Available in grey, blue, and brown, each strap is finished with a mirror-polished stainless-steel buckle to complete the look. [TRADITIONAL SPRING BARS] As do all the major Swiss watch brands, we prefer traditional spring bars, which offer a more robust and secure connection between the watch case and the strap. Each purchase includes a pair of perfectly fitting spring bars and one of our top-selling spring bar tools to help you easily swap out your watch strap. [HISTORY] Tweed, a closely woven woolen fabric, was originally called tweel, Scots for twill, due to its woven twilled pattern. The story goes, a London merchant mistook the handwritten word tweel for tweed, thinking it related to the River Tweed, and the name stuck. Our tweed watch straps feature a herringbone pattern, an iconic style of Scottish, Irish, Welsh and English clothing that has long been associated with country sporting activities such as hunting and shooting, but has become a modern mainstay of vintage British style. [COMFORT] We used nubuck leather to line these straps for long-lasting comfort on your wrist. Nubuck is made by gently sanding top-grain leather to give it a slight nap. The resulting material has the durability of tough, top-grain leather, but with the luxuriously soft, velvet-like feel of suede. [FIT] This strap is 125mm at its shortest setting and 175mm at its longest setting. Your watch size is critical to whether this strap will fit your wrist. Assuming a typical lug-to-lug length of 45mm, this strap will fit wrists between 170-220mm (6.75" - 8.5"), but please measure your watch and check the sizing guide to be sure.
