ORIGIN: Our Camomile (also spelled Chamomile) loose tea is a popular herbal infusion made from dried flowers of the daisy-like Matricaria chamomilla plant. ABOUT: Chamomile tea has been consumed for thousands of years, dating back to the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. The flavour can be described as mild, sweet, and slightly floral with apple-like undertones. BENEFITS: Naturally caffeine-free, chamomile tea can be consumed throughout the day, also before bedtime as a calming and relaxing drink. It is also believed to aid digestion and boost immune system. USES: Great on its own as a hot drink but it can also be chilled and served as an iced tea for a refreshing, cooling beverage. Try to mix with other fruits and herbs like mint, lemon balm, citrus fruits, honey, ginger and so on. BREWING: Allow 1½ – 2½ teaspoons per cup. Pour the freshly boiled water onto the leaves. Steeping time: 5 to 10 minutes. The brewing time and water temperature can be adjusted based on personal preferences.
