Bottled at 54.9% ABV in a limited release of 212 bottles, offering a lively, balanced, agile finish. Caol Ila Thompson Bros Single Malt Scotch 13 year old 54.9% ABV Nose: Sliced jalapeño, fresh green pepper and guindilla chilli appear alongside pickled walnut and salty preserved lemon. Creamier notes of banana, vanilla custard and condensed milk follow, balancing the savoury opening with classic Caol Ila sweetness. Palate: Bright, zesty and energetic, with glowing barbecue embers, smoked butter and freshly opened oyster shells. Coastal peat and maritime salinity are supported by a light, creamy texture and excellent balance. Finish: Long, warming and spicy. Persistent smoke develops into botanical herbs, dry white vermouth and freshly cut wood, leaving a clean and satisfyingly dry conclusion.
