Forgefix Carriage Bolts provide a zinc-plated solution for timber-to-timber joining, designed to secure wooden components in joist construction, decking, and furniture assembly. Each bolt comes complete with a hex nut and is fully threaded to 100mm. Known as Cup Square Hex Bolts, they feature a short square section under the countersunk head, which grips into the wood to prevent rotation during tightening. The zinc coating helps resist corrosion by forming a protective barrier and, if damaged, can act as a sacrificial anode to extend the finish’s life.
