Turkish tea, known as “çay“, pronounced Chai, is a type of tea made from loose black tea leaves, in a stacked kettle apparatus called “çaydanlık“. This popular tea is brewed slowly and often diluted to taste with hot water as the long and slow brewing process makes the tea very strong. It is a pure, unadulterated Turkish black tea. The name ('filiz' - sprout) comes from the pure sprout leaves that have been used to make that tea. Çaykur’s Filiz Tea has an intense amount of tea sprouts in its stock. Çaykur Filiz is the choice of many black tea lovers for its fine and natural leaves which were collected as they shoot forth in the season.
