TWO-BUTTON RELEASE FOR ADULTS: Press both side buttons together and the handle turns as normal. The two-handed action is intended to be awkward for toddlers and pets while staying quick and simple for grown-ups, so you are not fumbling with keys or catches every time you carry the washing through.
