Description
Codee is a 132-piece colour-coded chameleon robotics kit designed to spark creativity and hands-on learning in budding engineers aged 10 and up. This DIY construction set combines practical building with interactive play: the chameleon senses colours, responds to input via an infrared remote, and can be guided through multiple action modes. Built to endure hands-on experimentation, the kit uses durable ABS, POM and PP plastics, with metal screws and springs to clip and screw parts together. When assembled, the model measures about 39 cm long, 15 cm wide and 12.5 cm tall, offering a tangible, sizeable project that rewards problem-solving and persistence. The design emphasises accessibility, so even beginners can assemble it following the detailed instructions, turning learning into a rewarding, creative activity.
The chameleon can move and react in different ways, thanks to an integrated infrared sensor that links colour input to actions. In addition to its main build, the kit includes two distinct operating styles: a free-roaming “Wild” mode for dynamic exploration and a stationary “Pet” mode focused on action-oriented play. On-board surface-sensitive colour-changing LEDs enhance the interactive experience, and a tongue feature adds a playful element for targeting and experimentation. The project emphasises STEM concepts, encouraging curiosity in robotics, coding basics and critical thinking through practical building.
