The Plus Breaker layer sits between the tread and carcass with a highly elastic special rubber, aiming to maximize safety without compromising cycling dynamics. PolyX Breaker uses a tightly woven, highly resistant polyester fiber to create high fabric density that resists foreign objects and punctures while maintaining low rolling resistance. Angled studs in the middle of the tread are incorporated to optimize rolling characteristics. The PureGrip Compound provides a balance of grip and durability, positioned just behind the brand’s BlackChili compound in performance products. These designs are associated with Continental tires manufactured for reliability in mixed conditions, offering noise reduction and energy efficiency for everyday riding and longer tours.
