The auto-sensing technology provides up to 30W to a PoE+ 802.3at device with backward compatibility for 802.3af (15.4W) PoE devices. The extension function supports remote power and data transfer over a distance of up to 250m. The network can easily be extended via an Ethernet cable to a location without power but requiring a stationary device such as an IP camera. Watchdog function detects the status of the powered device in real time. Once an abnormality is detected, the switch actively resets the import of the problem and restores the power.
