Daftmill 2010 - Winter Batch Release

Small-batch Lowland single malt, 12-year-old, from a farm distillery, matured in 25 first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and aged in a dunnage warehouse. Distilled 2010, bottled 2023; creamy vanilla, fruit and gentle spice with a refined finish, winter release Daftmill Winter Batch 2023 Release Single Malt Scotch 12 year old 46% ABV Nose: Very classical Daftmill with distillery character front and centre. A lot of freshly mown grass, green herbs, crushed nettles and plenty of typical yellow and green fruits. Also some flowers and their pollens. Palate: A good balance of sweetness with fruits, citrus curds and custard, along with slightly drier tones of fruit teas, chamomile and linseed oil. A very easy and sippable profile. Finish: Medium in length, with a good balance of sweetness and dryness and elegant floral notes.
