The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is a renowned two-seat twinjet, long-range supersonic jet interceptor and fighter-bomber designed for the U.S. Navy. The F-4 Phantom achieved speeds over double the speed of sound and set 16 speed, altitude and climbing records. The aircraft was the first to be used simultaneously by the USAF, USN and USMC and served in about 11 other countries. Deployed from 1.991 inches of Southeast Asia, the F-4 Phantom supported photographic and electronic intelligence missions during the Vietnam War.
