Dieter Lumpen

Astisendo Grupo Editorial Dieter Lumpen Book. Dieter Lumpen has both the image of the classic adventurer and of someone who wants nothing to do with adventures. It is not surprising, then, that Adventure itself crosses his path and drags him along. With his image as an elegant man with kind manners, without a known trade or profit, Dieter Lumpen leads us from Turkey to the Caribbean, passing through classic adventure settings such as China or Venice.First appearing in 1981 in the pages of Cairo, Dieter Lumpen was published in various magazines until its end in 1994.This edition contains the five albums that make up the series, including The Price of Charon, the last of them not previously published in a Spanish compilation volume, as well as a foreword by Tim Sale and a text by journalist Celia Macías Castejón, which closes the volume.American cartoonist Tim Sale points out having seen in Rubén Pellejero a kindred spirit in his way of understanding the balance of black and white.Reading the story, I discovered that his drawing combined with Zentner´s story, with its mix of extravagance, adventure, romance and a seductive sense of place, fascinated me.I had never seen anything like it before.I envy anyone who is going to discover his work for the first time. The power and intensity of the light, the attractiveness of the landscapes, the correspondence between the colors and the different dramatic intensities.show us Rubén´s ability to incorporate the narrative potential of color.Pepe Gálvez.El Món In exotic environments, we are drawn to Corto Maltese and Dieter Lumpen, who are moved not only by their legs, but also by their ideas and concerns. And if, perhaps, they seem a bit cynical or even a bit petty to us, let´s look in the mirror: could it be because they resemble us?.Gianni Brunoro.Il Fumetto A tandem at the highest level, fun, moving and dynamic stories.Le Soir. tradeinn Techinn
