W2-grade hybrid construction: stainless steel (AISI 430) band and housing for strong resistance to rust and general weathering. Zinc-plated carbon steel screw, which holds torque more reliably under repeated tightening than a stainless screw would. Worm drive tightening mechanism for fine, even adjustment right across the clamping range, rather than fixed steps. Rolled band edges reduce the risk of the band cutting into softer hose walls as it is tightened down; recommended tightening torque is 4.0 Nm (approx. 35 lbf-in).
