The Summer of 1936: A Doctor´s StoryIn the summer of 1936, Pablo Uriel, a newly graduated 22-year-old doctor, began his professional journey with excitement, facing his first assignment as a physician.Little did he know that his life, and the life of the entire country, would soon turn into a terrible nightmare.Tiny testimonies like his, often go unnoticed in the grand books of history, eventually fading away. But Sento has made sure that, eighty years later, the small yet significant story of Dr. Uriel is hard to forget.Originally published in three volumes - A New Doctor, Trapped in Belchite, and Victor and Vanquished - Doctor Uriel compiles the complete story in this comprehensive edition, the first volume of which won the Fnac-Sins Entido International Graphic Novel Award in 2013.Even under the dictatorship, Dr. Uriel managed to write his memoirs, which were published in a small family edition in 1988, two years before his death.Sento Llobell, author of the trilogy and Uriel´s son-in-law, confesses:When I read the memoirs, I was impressed. I always thought I had to do it. tradeinn Techinn
