Steeped in history, our estate dates back to the Middle Ages, with Napoleon III once residing in the same Chateau. The wine's name honors Lord Pellegrin de Brunellis, who defended the Pope in Avignon and was granted a coat of arms bearing the Unicorn. Crafted from 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre, this emblematic cuvée comes from 50 year-old vines rooted in silico-limestone and gravel soils. Hand-harvested and carefully vinified, it undergoes 12 to 18 months of aging in oak barrels and concrete vats. The result is a deep ruby wine with garnet highlights, offering aromas of fine spices and red cherries, a rich palate, silky tannins, and a long, elegant finish.
