Dormer E500 HSS Straight Flute Hand Tap Metric with Bright finish, ISO standard, Single Pack

Dormer E500 straight flute taps are designed for versatility, suitable for hand use or machine application. They can tap through or blind holes in a range of materials. For blind holes, straight flute taps are recommended in sets that include a taper (first tap), second (intermediate tap), and bottoming (third or plug tap). The taps are sized 5.0 mm with a 0.8 mm pitch, made from High Speed Steel, and feature a bright surface finish to help prevent built-up edge when tapping sticky materials. They are intended primarily for hand-held applications and adhere to ISO529 straight flute geometry with Class 2 tolerance for 6H fit. Chamfers are provided for taps 1, 2, and 3.
