Dremel Mpx2 5000430 84g60 Multitools Sanding Band. The Dremel MPx2 5000430 84G60 Sanding Band (6.4mm, 60 grit) is your go-to accessory for aggressive material removal. Ideal for shaping, smoothing, and rust removal on a wide range of materials including hardwoods, softwoods, plastics, fiberglass, aluminum, and metals like steel. The 60-grit coarseness ensures efficient material cutting, with larger grit indicators showing lower grit. For finer finishes, consider flap wheels or buffs. Easily replaceable via drum screw or the EZ SpeedClic system, these bands offer versatile application from wood and metal to rubber and ceramics at recommended speeds up to 35.000 RPM. Sanding bands will generally remove finish and material (wood or other soft material). These bands are also used for (rough) shaping and smoothing or rust removal from metal. If you want to remove just finish, consider something less aggressive like a flap wheel (no. 502 or 504), or a buff like the no. 511S/512S or 511E/512E. The physical appearance of the band indicates what grit it is, the larger the bumps the lower the grit. Sanding bands are available in 120 and 60 grit. The lower the grit, the more material is removed. Use the sides of the bands to do the sanding.
