Every single drop has been distilled by head distiller Brian Taft at The Shed distillery of PJ Rigney in 2014, then bottled in 2021 at 46% ABV Notes of golden caramel, nuts, and roasted coffee - Drumshanbo Single Malt Irish Whiskey 2021 Galánta has a wealth of golden caramel and wood-filled notes of nuts and roasted coffee. On the palate there is a delicious balance of fruit and spice with notes of baked apple, almond and cinnamon. The finish is long and elegant with a lingering spice and sweetness Made from 100% Irish matled barley - Drumshanbo Irish Single Malt Galánta is made using 100% Irish malted barley. It is aged in specially selected Kentucky ex-bourbon barrels and the finest Marsala wine casks, bringing elegance and depth to this incredible whiskey. The name Galánta means bravery/ excellence in Gaelic. The first whiskey to be made in Cannacht in 107 years - The Shed Distillery was built by PJ Rigney in 2014 and is situated in Connacht due to the area’s wild location and water quality.
