Description
Dulux Trade Satinwood is a solvent-based satin finish designed for interior wood and metal surfaces. It provides a tough, hardwearing, dirt-resistant coating that is self-undercoating, helping to deliver a smooth, durable finish with minimal preparation. The product does not require an undercoat unless a strong colour change is desired, in which case an appropriate coloured Dulux Trade Undercoat may be used. This finish is well suited for doors, window frames, skirting boards and similar surfaces where a low-temperature environment is a consideration. It offers good coverage and a practical drying and recoating window, making it suitable for professional and domestic use where a reliable satin aesthetic is required.
Key details include a coverage of up to 17 m² per litre, drying in 4-6 hours and recoating after 16-24 hours. It is a solvent-based formulation and should be stirred thoroughly before use. For application, brush or roller is recommended, and spray application is not advised. The normal finishing process involves applying two full coats. When a strong colour change is necessary, applying an appropriate coloured undercoat may be required.
