EHEIM Filter Pad Set for Professionel 3 1200XL / 1200XLT (2080 & 2180)Category: Pet SuppliesSubcategory: Aquariums and TerrariumsAttributes: Filters, FishMaintain the pristine clarity and biological stability of your large-scale aquarium with the genuine EHEIM Filter Pad Set, expertly designed for the high-performance Professionel 3 1200XL and 1200XLT canister filters. This essential set is the cornerstone of effective water purification, ensuring a healthy, thriving environment for your aquatic inhabitants, whether in a freshwater or saltwater setup. This set of fine and coarse filter pads provides a complete two-stage approach to mechanical and biological filtration. The filtration process begins as water from your aquarium passes through the pads. The porous material becomes evenly soaked with water and traps large and small dirt particles. This first mechanical stage is crucial for physically removing visible waste, such as uneaten food, fish excrement, and decaying plant matter, from the water column. The result is crystal-clear water and a significantly improved aesthetic for your aquarium.Beyond simple mechanical cleaning, these pads are engineered to foster a thriving biological ecosystem. After a short start-up period, the vast, specially structured foam surfaces provide ideal conditions for purification bacteria to colonise. This beneficial bacterial culture is the heart of your aquarium´s biological filter, providing intensive biological decomposition of invisible but highly toxic harmful substances like ammonia and nitrite. By converting these dangerous compounds into less harmful nitrates, the pads play a critical role in establishing and maintaining the delicate biological balance necessary for the long-term health and vitality of your fish. One of the standout benefits of this EHEIM set is its focus on sustainability and value. The fine and coarse filter pads are reusable many times over, offering exceptional longevity. To clean them, simply rinse and squeeze out the pads in a bucket of removed aquarium water. This simple maintenance procedure removes the trapped physical debris while ensuring that the precious bacteria cultures are not completely destroyed, allowing your filter to quickly return to peak biological efficiency. This reusability not only makes them a cost-effective solution but also a more environmentally friendly choice for the conscientious aquarist.By choosing the original EHEIM filter pad set, you are investing in the reliability and German-engineered precision that your high-capacity Professionel 3 filter deserves. Ensure crystal clear water and a stable, healthy environment for your aquatic world.Features:* Porous material traps large and small dirt particles for superior mechanical cleaning.* Provides good colonisation conditions for essential purification bacteria cultures.* Engineered to be reusable several times over for excellent value and reduced waste.* Simple to maintain: to clean, just rinse and squeeze out to preserve biological activity.Specifications:* Width: 290 mm* Height: 290 mm* Depth: 123 mm. tradeinn Bricoinn
