Seven-year-old whisky finished in ex-Rivesaltes dessert wine casks, drawn from first-fill casks and bottled at natural cask strength for a bold, fruit-forward, richly layered profile. Elsburn That Boutique-y Whisky Company Batch #3 Single Malt German 7 year old 48.7% ABV Nose: Aromas of sweet honey and roasted nuts - especially almonds and pistachio (akin to pink and white nougat). Dried fruits follow in the form of raisins, prunes, and dried apricot. Palate: Another rich wonderfully balanced Elsburn. Walnut oil, almond butter, and spicy wood. Leather, cocoa and plenty of dried fruits. Finish: A long spicy finish.
